Shaped from the first slab of an 80-year-old walnut tree long forgotten in a Northern Pennsylvania sawmill, Grain One begins the story of The Forgotten Giant. After decades resting in the dark, this slab is the first to return to purpose ~ the opening chapter in a ten-slab collection.
Its natural edge is left untouched, preserving the tree’s original form and the quiet record of its years in the forest.
The legs are cut from companion sections of the same walnut slab, creating a continuous flow of grain from top to base.
